Choosing the right car

May 8th, 2008

Choosing the right car for you is a tough job especially if you are not ready to shell out huge amount of money to get the best ride for you. Some would rather settle for second hand cars and it’s just up to them on how they will make their ride improve by replacing their parts. If you decide to get second hand cars or trade in, make sure that you check every part of your new car.

One of the important things to check is its tire which is often forgotten by buyers. If planning to replace the tires, go for Falken tires or other manufacturers from US or Japan. They say that Honda is always the best choice since Honda parts are always available in the market and they hardly give you a problem. Before finalizing your decision, always ask the expert and bring a car expert with you so they can check on every part of the engine of the car.

Auto Loans

May 7th, 2008

Speaking of cars, all of us have our own taste of what to choose including the color, model, design, etc. Some of us prefer of having the latest models while some prefer of having old school cars. This depends on the interest of every individual. Those who go after old school cars will definitely have it customized, internally and externally. Individuals who have lots of money prefer to buy brand new cars while others go after the used cars. But to some of those who really want to have their own car, they sometimes encounter problems because they have a bad credit auto loan. In that case, you will then be having problem of getting the car that you really wanted. An example to this was my friend who really wants to have a Mitsubishi Eclipse but he has a bad credit history. But he still got the car ‘coz he underwent car financing. In that case, an expert reviewed his credit history because it is very important for them for the fact that my friend was applying for a bad credit car loan. Then he was asked if how much he can give for the down payment and for the monthly payments. After that, he was also asked to provide a proof that he is really employed in order for the process to speed up. Lastly, he was asked to pay on time in order to have a clean history. ‘Coz it is very difficult if you don’t have your own car especially if your workstation is far from your home.

Applying for car loans

May 5th, 2008

There are several things you should bear in mind whenever applying for car loans. There are actually several institutions which can lend you money such as banks and lending companies. You can actually check online and most sites have auto loan calculators which shall make payment calculations for you.

I myself got a car from a car loan. I got a 2 door Mitsubishi Lancer GSR all from just a car loan. Actually it’s a used car but it’s still of good quality and A1 driving condition. I have just applied for a loan online by filling up  forms. They reviewed my application and they had it approved at an instant. What’s good about it is that they have low interest rated and guess what, they had the vehicle delivered right at my doorstep. I’m just glad that I was able to make a deal with a really trusted company.

Importance of car insurance

May 2nd, 2008

Aside from that it is required, most drivers really all know the importance of car insurance. Although it’s really costly to get a car insurance, it’s really that important since it’s for your own security. If you don’t want to get caught and have your car impounded then be sure to take this seriously. I’m sure you wouldn’t want to be charged with a bunch of fees and court fines! It’s also for your own good since it protects you from liabilities in case of accidents and unwanted incidents. We really can’t tell when accidents may happen so it’s always best to get insured.
Just in case you are caught in an accident and you are held liable for the accident then you’d be responsible for the medical bills in case a person gets injured and worst is if you get the person killed. It can also cause a lot moral damaged to people and families.
Some even results other to people to sell their homes and properties just to pay for liabilities. I myself got involved in an accident 5 years ago. I fell asleep while driving at around 4 a.m. in the morning. The cars were almost in total wreck and the driver of the other car I bumped to got his legs stuck into the car causing some broken bones on his legs. I was really confused that very moment and I don’t know what to do. Good thing is that I just had a car insurance from Money.co.uk. They had everything covered for me. They paid for damages and hospitalization fees which was a real total relief. I just realized what could’ve happened if I didn’t have an insurance. Aside from the psychological trouble it has caused me, I would’ve been in a lot of financial trouble.

Need auto parts?

March 11th, 2008

Me and my friends who are also my business partners just got ourselves new cars. When I say new this doesn’t mean that they are really brand new. They are actually previously owned cars which we got and we’re on to have them fixed and also take them for minor pimpin’. The cars we got are great but they’re really not in 100% conditioning. They need some repaint jobs and some auto parts need to be replaced. I am actually looking for some Ford parts over the net for my the Ford Lynx that I got and my friend is also looking for some affordable Nissan parts for his 97 model Sentra Super Saloon. Good thing is that we found a site called DriveWire.com sells replacement parts for all types of vehicles. We found it more convenient since we won’t have to go downtown just to look for hard to find auto parts and accessories. They got OEM parts and also performance parts for pimpin! Man, this site is awesome! If I only knew earlier, I should’ve gotten my new ignition coil and coil springs from them. It took me almost two weeks to find an ignition coil for my car!

March 7th, 2008

Have you already heard of Vehicle Leasing? Sounds familiar huh?! I myself didn’t even know what this was all about until I read an article that discusses stuff about vehicle leasing. This is for people who would frequently change cars or for those who thirst for newer cars. It may sound luxurious but most some people nowadays go for this kind of deals because of less hassle. And in fact, it also has its own advantages. With its low interested rates and lower monthly payment this would make you think twice if you’d rather go buy a car or just do vehicle leasing. There are now some sites which offer these types of deal and they offer almost all brands of cars. There are BMW, Honda, Ford, Mercedes and Audi Contract Hire.

Brand new vs. Used cars

January 10th, 2008

Ever since I was a kid, I’ve always dreamt of having a car. No matter what it is, at least something with four wheels. Then that moment came when I had my very first car which is a Mitsubishi Galant 91 model. After a few months I sold it to a friend khasmoth then I got myself another one which is a second hand Mitsubishi Lancer 99 model. I’ve got no problems with the cars but its just the continuous thirst for a newer car. And the next big thing which I’m eyeing for is this GMC envoy or the new Honda CRV. I would at least want something brand new such as this!

There are really some differences in buying a brand new car compared to a second hand car. Buying a brand new car is of course much more expensive. But the ride and comfort it gives you is what you’re paying for. You’ll feel the difference especially when it comes to suspension, horsepower, fuel consumption, it’s look and design. But the downside of this is that the value of brand new cars greatly depreciates in years. On the other hand, a second hand car has a bit more trouble but you save up a huge amount of money and just hope that car maintenance won’t kill your budget since the amount of money you’ll have to spend on car maintenance on second hand cars would relatively be bigger.

Car jerking strikes back!

November 23rd, 2007

After another month, the frequent jerking comes back again! It’s just like a nightmare haunting me! So I changed the fuel filter again! But it’s just not normal! How often should I change this fuel filter! I was thinking was it because of it’s brand? Is this brand just crappy ones?! I was using Maruzen fuel filters and according to some people whom I talk to, these filters are already good so I still end up wondering what’s happening?! So I just thought there must be something wrong going on down under! Perhaps on the fuel tank! Aside from just having the tank cleaned up, I had it totally opened! And there I saw how dirty the tank was! It was like a tank filled with mud and residues! I had everything cleaned up and so far everything has been working well. In a few more weeks, if the fuel filter doesn’t clog up, I could therefore conclude that all of these was caused by this dirty fuel tank!
